Hot Shot’s Secret® Tick Fix + Protect™ is an advanced oil enhancer for gasoline-powered engines designed to restore hydraulic lifter function, reduce valvetrain noise, and prevent future wear in modern engines prone to oil starvation and deposit formation.
Unlike masking agents or single-function additives, Tick Fix + Protect™ cleans and lubricates simultaneously, addressing the root cause of lifter tick and premature valvetrain wear—especially in engines with stop/start systems, displacement-on-demand (DOD), and hybrid technology.
Formulated with FR3 Nano Technology® and a dexos™1 GEN 3–compliant additive package, it replaces one quart of oil in 4–8 quart systems, supplementing the host oil’s chemistry without diluting protection.
