Lucas M8 SAE 80W-90 Marine Gear Oil is a non foaming, super slick, long lasting lubricant designed especially for marine applications. Originally designed for high powered off shore racing boats, M8 Marine Gear Oil contains seal conditioners and an exclusive blend of additives that protect from rust and wear caused by both fresh water and salt water during long periods of storage. Excellent for use in any heavy duty / high performance stern drives, v-drives, gear boxes, wheel bearings and superchargers.
It is a premium lubricant specifically formulated for use in outboard lower units, sterndrives, V-drives, bow and tunnel thrusters and marine transmissions which specify SAE 80W-90 GL-5 Gear Oil. It is formulated with a powerful anti-wear and extreme pressure additives to prevent scuffing and premature failure of all gear types. Our specialty formulation is yellow metal safe, and clings to gear teeth to ensure they are never starved for lubrication. Our formulation is shear stable and will retain viscosity for long fluid life and maximum protection.
Additionally, it is stable under high-torque and high temperature conditions but remains fluid at extremely cold temperatures to ensure excellent lubrication no matter the weather. It is fortified with seal conditioners that keep seals and gaskets supple, preventing leaks and extending engine service life, as well as water shedding additives to ensure the oil resists the formation of emulsions and protects your transmission and gear box.
