The spring-loaded mechanism mounts to your trailer's side rail and attaches to the tailgate, taking most of the gate's weight off the user's hands. The EZ Gate works on most open utility trailers with square or round tubing and a side rail height of 12 to 18 in.. One kit will handle gates up to 180 lb.
